A new venue, a new brew partner, and new food purveyors created a fantastic atmosphere, complemented by the traditions of the Popcorn Bar from Pittsburgh Popcorn Company, wine tasting and sales from the Greenhouse Winery, and music provided by The Good Guys. Over 200 people were expected to attend, and there were! About 225 supporters and their friends enjoyed food, drink and and entertainment at the 2018 Wind-Up/Wine-Down and Music on Tap at The Kitchen by Vangura on Route 30 in North Huntingdon on Saturday, November 17th.
Proceeds from the event go to provide private music lesson subsidies to student in grades 4-12 in the Norwin Area School District’s band and orchestra programs, and offer grants for summer music camps and specials events, such as participation in the Music For All/Bands of America Marching Band at the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, or the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Students have attended summer music camps at local and regional colleges and universities.
