The First Annual Camp and Concert dedicated to honoring the memory of Philip Pietrusza was held on Saturday, March 7th at the Norwin Area High School. Philip was a Norwin-area resident who loved music, and the event was indeed a memorable one for members of the Norwin Band and their families. Both Cory and Caity Pietrusza attended the concert, which was led by guest conductors Dr. Jason Worzbyt, Assistant Director of Bands at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Robert Matchett, Director of Bands at Seneca Valley High School.
The event was even more special since it was the last time the Norwin Band performed this year due to the shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic that occurred a week later. Our thanks goes to Director of Bands Tim Daniels and his staff for making this an event to remember and of remembrance.
